During my quiet time I heard these words "Where is the FRUIT?" It reminded me of the insistent little old lady on the Wendy's commercial years ago. You know the one, "the Where's the Beef?" little old lady.

Seems like lately I've seen alot of "fruit bats" atttacking the fruit that is supposed to be found in the Christian's life.

Galations 5:22-25
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law. 24Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the sinful nature with its passions and desires. 25Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.

So basically God wants to know "Where is the fruit??" Right above the fruit verses, this is what the Lord admonishes us to beware of:

Galations 5:16S
So I say, live by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the sinful nature. 17For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other, so that you do not do what you want. 18But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under law.
19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

I've realized I have to guard my fruit-because spiritual fruit bats will try to devour it and I don't want to be left fruitless. So my thoughts, actions, words and emotions need to line up with the fruitful qualities of living the Spirit-filled life. I must not only talk the talk, but be sure I am walking the walk.

Think about...
Where is the fruit?
wow-sometimes God can just be incredibly direct can't He?
